What Is Happiness?
Yes, with all its many definitions, expressions and passions, happiness truly is the most desired of all human emotions. Over the course of human history, we would expect that by now, we should all have the lasting effects of perfect happiness, providing us an enduring purpose in life, one that brings the peace and security we require. Sadly though, this is not our reality. We are then moved and forced to ask the questions; why is it so difficult to attain true happiness? Do we consistently need to look for this quality of life that seems to escapes us continuously? We are perplexed by its loss and the painful emptiness that comes with the lack of happiness. Is it a realistic mature hope for tomorrow, or is it only an elusive and foolish fantasy.
Ask yourself, have you found true happiness?
In my own personal pursuit of true happiness and during my many years in the study of happiness, I can honestly say that there are no reliable text books, road maps or instruction manuals that will lead us to lasting happiness. We can however, learn from the efforts and experiences of others. For in doing so, we will then have an abundance of information, making us more qualified to answer the question for ourselves; how do get and maintain a truly lasting happiness?
